
In November of 1994, Lunda Construction Company was awarded this project by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. With full contract approval received in early December, Lunda immediately began field work. An aggressive progress schedule was necessary for this project requiring cold weather construction during the winters of 1994-1995 and 1995-1996.
This project consists of a Double-Leaf Bascule with adjacent steel approach spans and the associated approach roadway work. Each leaf of the Bascule span was 68 feet wide by 84 feet long and the total length of the bridge was 290 feet.
